Three years ago...

our lives changed forever. Miss Madison was only about 30 minutes old this time three years ago. I can honestly say I never thought anything would put so much joy into my life, make me smile at such simple things, and turn running errands into the most fun trip to Target ever. This Birthday has been much anticipated (we've been talking about Birthdays and cakes for quite some time now) but also very hard on me. Turning one was fun- Madie was growing into a toddler, experiencing new things, and her bubbly little personality was starting to come out so much- we partied it up with cake and tons of balloons. Turning two was a whirlwind- I had just started working full time on the night shift, going to school, and entering my third trimester with our soon to be addition to the family- so I went to work that night after we did a simple dinner at Pei Wei. This year is bittersweet- we've got our family complete with a perfect little girl and boy (a Princess and Prince, as Miss Madison says), my work schedule is amazing (I'm working 3 nights a week, but still full time with all the fabulous benefits) and our lives have calmed down quite a bit, allowing for us to enjoy ourselves- so we will party it up again this year, but not without me being sad. Just this afternoon coming home from gymnastics my little Madie informed me I cannot call her Madie anymore, that a baby name- I need to now call her Madison. So tonight we will again go to Pei Wei to celebrate the birth of an amazing girl, this Saturday we will party it up with friends and family at Nickelcade, and from now on I guess I will be referring to my big girl as "Madison."

Too bad they don't have "Kids Say the Darnedest Things" episodes with Bill Cosby anymore. Madi[son] would be perfect! Happy Birthday to my cute niece!

I can't believe you have a three year old Meg! Crazy, we're getting old. Seems like just yesterday we were laying out at your community pool in bikinis! Ha ha. Hope you had a great birthday Madison!

Ok seriously, that would make me sad too! Just wait until she is a teen and won't want you to talk to her at all! I hope she had a great b-day! We really need to get together soon!
